August 1st was my first of six weddings this BUSY month and it started with a beautiful outdoor wedding which took place at the beautiful The Garten Marketplatz Perennial Farm near Byron, which is just outside of Rochester, Minnesota. What’s interesting is that Jess was a personal attendant at a previous outdoor wedding that I shot here in Winona for Melanie & Brian at Winona State University. Chances of rain were in the area, but stayed away for their wedding day!

As I arrived at the Garten Marketplatz, Jess and her bridesmaids were getting ready while staying hidden from Adam as he didn’t want to see her before the ceremony. After entering, I couldn’t help but notice how much Jess’s mother cared for her. It seemed that every time she looked at Jess, she held back tears of her beauty as a bride…

Shorty after the bouquets were handed out, we headed outside to the gardens where there was plenty of locations to get some creative & colorful photos…

After finishing up with their photos, acoustic guitar music started playing and guests were arriving & filling up seats. Adam and his groomsmen took there places for the ceremony…

As you can see for yourself, it was a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding…

They performed a Sand Ceremony to unite their marriage together using sand that matched the colors of the wedding…

Soon after, the ceremony was done and they walked for the first time as husband & wife back towards the Gift Haus on the grounds…

Every guest congratulated them and they celebrated with the wedding party with some champagne…

They enjoyed a social hour with their guests and before we headed onto the bus to take them to the reception, we took some time for photos of just the two of them…

Before stopping at the reception, we made a stop at one of their favorite pubs…

After a shot to celebrate, we then proceeded to a tennis court as they enjoy playing tennis together. From what I understand, Adam has some practicing to do…

We then arrived at the Bluemoon Ballroom for their wedding reception which was ready with good food and dancing lessons. They cut the cake after their entrance and then proceeded to dinner…

After everyone ate they danced their first dance together as husband & wife and then danced the night away with their guests…

Thank you for having me as your wedding photographer, Jess & Adam! It really was a picture perfect day for you both!!! Congrats again! I wish you two both the best!
