Alison & Chris | Winona, MN wedding

I’ve known Alison & Chris for like four to five years now. I believe that they started dating not too long before I met them both. Seeing the two of them go from “a couple” to “husband & wife” is pretty neat. Being a good friend of Chris’s father & stepmother, I’ve gotten the chance to know Alison & Chris better too. We’ve been on the river & sat around a few campfires together, watched Super Bowls & UFC fights, been on a motorcycle cruise or two (even though I sold my Harley a few years ago, I followed in my car) and even been to a few parties at either our house or his parent’s. My wife went to Alison’s bachelorette party & I went to Chris’s bachelor party. While we don’t necessarily hang out on a regular basis, I’d like to say that Alison & Chris are good family friends.

Being at their wedding was almost kinda like being a guest, I guess. I don’t get invited to too many weddings anymore, since I’m usually working at a different wedding. ; ) Knowing many of the guests & all but one of the bridal party, (I know Bridgette’s mom, so that counts right? Hi Bridgette!) it was kinda hard to not visit with those I know. (so sorry if any of you felt like I was ignoring you, but hey – I was working!) But the greatest part, other than seeing two people in love get married, was to see so many people having a good time. The weather was pretty close to perfect, even though it got a little on the warm side once the sun finally came out. As they say, it was a great day for a wedding.

Let’s check out some pics, huh??

A kiss for his bride when they first saw each other…

Who’s ready to get married??

This guy.

You can see why he’s smiling so big.

Check out his stunning bride…

Here we have the beautiful Alison and her equally beautiful bridesmaids…

… along with Chris and his groomsmen, nearly minus one.

After portraits, everyone headed inside to cool off and wait for the ceremony to begin. The groomsmen waited in the bar area…

while the ladies waited in a secluded back room. A perfect place for last minute fixes and to sit & chat…

Four o’clock came before we knew it. As I said, the weather was perfect – picture perfect.

Twenty minutes later, they were full of smiles and happily married!

We got through the family photos and you’d surprised of how much fun they can end up being…

Back inside, a beautifully decorated Visions Event Center awaited them…

as well as their wedding cake.

Alison & Chris shared a quick piece of cake before dinner. Alison got the upper hand on ya, Chris…

After dinner, the speeches began and they were very heartfelt & emotional…

After the speeches, the groomsmen headed outside to stoke up some cigars provided by one of the groomsmen. Note to future groomsmen: don’t butt-dial the groom when buying cigars. ; )

It was also a nice time to get a shot next to Chris’s transportation…

Before you knew it, the dance was to begin. After a Grand March, it was time for their first dance as husband & wife…

and then it turned into a dance party!

I was honored to be able to capture your wedding day. It was a great day and I’m so happy for you both, Alison & Chris. I wish you many years of the happiness & love you felt on this wonderful day. Congrats again!

Also, if you haven’t had a chance, check out what happened afterwards

; )
