Ashley & Dustin | Wisconsin wedding photography

The love story between Ashley & Dustin began while they were both in high school. They are both from small towns in rural Wisconsin. It’s your small-town love story. What’s really amazing is to see how the love between two people can bring many people together. Although being from smaller towns, they sure knew how to fill the church & reception with people they know! There was approximately 350 people who showed up to help them celebrate their wedding!

You couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate the love you have for that special person in your life.

As I drove to Waumandee, the skies were filled with the same rain-soaked overcast clouds that have been moving (or not moving as it seems) through our area over the past few weeks. Like I mentioned in my last wedding post, the wedding will go on “rain or shine” and my same principle of “rain & shine” applied. As I met with Ashley when I arrived, not only did she light up with smiles but everyone around her were shining bright of smiles.

Ashley’s mother helped her into her dress as everyone looked on. Before you knew it, there she was – a stunning bride…

Meanwhile, the guests were starting to arrive outside the church and Dustin was waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin as he got his final touches…

As the guests found their seats inside the church, Ashley patiently awaited for her call to head to the church…

Once it was time, her father saw her for the first time as a bride…

It was a traditional wedding ceremony…

…with the same wonderful result as any wedding – a smiling husband & wife!

As they set up the receiving line outside, the rain began to fall. No worries, they just moved it back inside of the church. After formal photos, we headed to the reception in the rain. Of course, Ashley & Dustin left with a decorated vehicle…

and what’s a decorated vehicle without a few noise makers…

As we drove through the rain to Danzinger Vineyards to take some more casual wedding portraits, the rain came down. Once we arrived at the entrance to the vineyards, the rain conveniently stopped. Perfect timing to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings…

As we arrived at the Danzinger Winery, there was something that looked familiar on the cake. What do you think?

Some other scenes in & around the wedding reception…

Of course there was plenty of the traditional clanking of glasses to see a kiss…

After dinner were the speeches by the Best Man & Maid of Honor. Dustin’s Best Man stirred up plenty of laughter with a few funny stories and jokes…

Before the dance began, Ashley & Dustin headed out with me for some more photos. I love it when there’s genuine smiles & laughter between my clients, although I may have said something completely ridiculous too ; )

During the Grand March, the wedding party wanted to make sure that Ashley & Dustin didn’t have it too easy…

They shared their first dance with their wedding party too…

And then the dancing shoes came out and the party was officially started…

Before too long, the dance floor was filled…

An announcement was made for all the wedding guests to go outside for a surprise from Ashley & Dustin. As the guests filed out and lined up in the parking lot, they found out why they were told to go outside…

Although there was a few raindrops here & there, it was a beautiful wedding day. Complete with two people in love surrounded by so many people that care for them. Congratulations again, Ashley & Dustin! May these photos allow you to remember your beautiful wedding day all over again…
