Bekky & Mike | La Crosse, WI wedding

When you love someone, that love should be permanent.

Just like the tattoos that Bekky & Mike have. They even got matching tattoos during their honeymoon to observe the date that they married. I think that’s pretty sweet.

It was pretty hot the day of their wedding and everyone made it through it just fine. The heat didn’t prevent them from having a great time with other, just as a wedding should be.

As we awaited for the last few members of the wedding party, I thought that would be a great time to get some nice portraits of Bekky. I felt her choices of colors were a perfect match for her look…

Mike’s suit coordinated with the colors as well! He even had matching white Converse Chuck Taylors too!

We then proceeded to get some portraits taken care of while the last of the bridal party arrived…

And of course we had to get an updated family portrait for them!

After some fun bridal party pictures and family portraits, it was time for their outdoor ceremony…

Both were full of smiles after a romantic kiss “sealed the deal”…

With a resounding crack of thunder immediately after the ceremony, it was a good time to head to the La Crosse Center for their reception before the rain came. They had a very simple, Zen-like decor…

Some of Bekky & Mike’s friends were so gracious to provide some great live music for everyone to enjoy – from Jack Johnson to Sublime – it was great!

The music provided a perfect scene for Bekky & Mike’s first wedding dance…

While some of their friends gave a speech, it put the spotlight on Bekky. I love the feeling in this photo…

And soon after, Mike had a surprise gift for Bekky. He presented her with an original Schwinn Fat Tire Amber Ale bicycle, the same one pictured on the front of a Fat Tire bottle & can of beer…

But he wasn’t done there. Mike, being in a talented musician himself, played & sang a song to his bride – “(She’s) Some Kind of Wonderful” by Grand Funk Railroad and finished with a bang…

Even though the temperatures & humidity were high and the rain came after the ceremony (not to mention the swarm of mayflies – yuck!) it was an absolute pleasure to spend your wonderful wedding day with the two of you. May your love for each other be as permanent as the tattoos you share! Congrats again!!
