Sasha & Carlos | Madison, WI wedding photography

Love can be expressed in any language.

Just like the intimate wedding of Sasha & Carlos, which was bilingual, spoken in English & Spanish. No matter what language you speak, if you’re in love, shout it from the rooftops as they say. There’s no better feeling than to be in love and know it.

The wedding ceremony took place in Madison, Wisconsin – at the beautiful & luxurious Mansion Hill Inn, which provided the perfect setting for the handful of family & friends to enjoy the wedding. The day started off with the two of them getting ready in separate rooms. They decided to wait to see each other until their ceremony.

Carlos had a nice little suite downstairs where he and his groomsmen got ready…

Meanwhile, Sasha was getting ready in the finest room the Mansion Hill Inn offers. Here’s a few photos from there…

The bright & colorful bridal bouquet…

A moment that I hope to experience someday, seeing my daughter for the first time on her wedding day. I’m sure I’ll be a wreck. But in the meantime, I’ll hide behind the camera when other fathers of the bride see their daughters…

After making our way down the beautiful spiral staircase, everyone took their positions in the room where the ceremony was to take place and the wedding was underway. It was very nice. They even read their own vows to each other. Here’s some images from the ceremony…

Sasha & Carlos had set aside some time to take photos at the Mansion Hill Inn as well as go around downtown Madison, WI. I had a hard time choosing which ones to show…

We then headed into Madison for some more photos before heading to the wedding reception…

And some photos of love from outside of the Monona Terrace

And then a little more fun with the bridal party. In front of the Capital. Not sure if we were technically breaking the law with this photo, but oh well… work it ladies!

and of course a cool guy photo…

It was time to head over to the Kennedy Manor Dining Room & Bar for the equally intimate wedding reception. They’ve got a restored elevator, complete with a solid brass door…

Here’s some images from inside the reception… there were some excellent appetizers available for the bridal party & guests…

Can you tell that these two are happy together??

Before the dance began, Sasha was in need of some extra hands – again. Sense a pattern? ; ) It can be tough work being a bride!

I love the simplicity of this image…

During the grand march, Sasha & Carlos made a entrance with style!

Their first dance was an extension of proof of their love for each other…

And the father/daughter & mother/son dances were very emotional as well. There weren’t too many dry eyes in the crowd…

Although the temperature & humidity was high that day, the love I witnessed between the two of you surpassed it. I wish you both the best of futures together and may your love continue to grow stronger each and every day…

El amor es una cosa hermosa.

  1. Shannon,
Fantastic set, love the stair case. Give me a buzz sometime if you need a second shooter. I may need a hand here next year on a few as well!

    Keep up the great stuff.
