Vicki & Nick | Winona, Minnesota wedding

During the first weekend of October, I had the pleasure of shooting here in Winona, Minnesota at one of the most beautiful churches in town – Chapel of Saint Mary of the Angels. My clients Vicki & Nick met while going to school at Winona State University and chose to come back to married here! As you can see, the Chapel is absolutely gorgeous…

Upon arriving, the whole wedding party was going through a quick rehearsal of the wedding. It made for some great images as everyone was just having a great time…

I’m sure a number of you reading this have never met Nick, but if you did – he can be the life of the party as they say. Always making Vicki smile and having fun…

Do you know how this image was made?? A little photography trivia for ya ; )

Granted, when you’re younger, sometimes weddings aren’t the most exciting things to watch…

After the rehearsal, Vicki and her bridesmaids headed out to get ready. The ring bearer seemed to be patiently waiting…

Remember what I said about Nick having fun?? It’s almost contagious…

Vicki’s bouquet had just the right touch of autumn color…

Her wedding dress was full of intricate details…

and she had plenty of helping hands while she got ready…

I love this image.

While it was a little cool & breezy outside, we took advantage of it and the remaining flowers on the trees…

Vicki was stunning! Check out that veil!

Remember me asking a post or two ago of who was wearing red hot shoes? Vicki was…

After formal portraits were done, it was time to wait for the start of the ceremony. All the guys were betting on whether or not Nick would screw up somehow during the wedding…

and…

it seemed to go without a hitch! A little fist pump from Nick after the ceremony to help start the celebration…

I wonder where Nick got his fun behavior from…

We then headed to a downtown pub for a quick drink and the party was started…

We then headed to the reception at the Riverport Inn and the wedding cake looked so nice with the lights behind it…

As they prepared for the grand march, there was Nick making her smile again…

Nick’s Best Man had a few good stories for Nick, which had everyone smiling & laughing…

After dinner, the dance began with their first dance and it was a good one….

There was also a recreation of a childhood performance by Nick and his Best Man. Not sure who put them up to it, but one of their friends talked the DJ into making them do it!

And before long, the dance floor filled up and there wasn’t too many people sitting! Everyone was having a blast…

Congratulations to you both and it was an absolute blast working with you! I hope the smiling and goofiness continues as there’s nothing better than living life knowing you’re loved…

…and having a smile on your face.

; )
