There was so many wonderful things going on once the autumn season finally settled in here in our area. The weather was outstanding and made for some great colors & views of the trees & leaves along rolling bluffs along the Mississippi River. I personally think it would be hard to leave the area, even though I usually can’t stand the winter months. Snow & cold temps just are not for me…

As one’s life progresses, you get a little older, find a college to attend, maybe find a job, move from home, you figure out the true friends (or a linchpin) in your life and meet new ones, finish school, then find a career, perhaps you meet that special someone and a new adventure begins. Jennifer & Chris | Alma, Wisconsin outdoor wedding

My last wedding of September took place in Alma, Wisconsin. Everything seemed to fall into place for Jennifer & Chris considering it had rained and rained and rained some more earlier in the week, which caused lots of flooding in many nearby communities along the Mississippi River valley.

However, on this day, the bad weather held off and made for a perfect autumn day to have an outdoor wedding.

Part 1 | July & Randy | Hutchinson, MN wedding

The signs of Autumn were apparent for July & Randy’s wedding in Hutchinson, Minnesota. The leaves were changing. There was a brisk breeze in the air. The downtown was buzzing from a local art & food festival. Meanwhile, at Peace Lutheran Church, there was the anticipation of a wedding…

As I arrived at the church, July had a room to herself and her bridesmaids. Bridesmaids getting hair done and makeup applied as July was getting ready to see Randy for the first time. Even the University of Minnesota garter matched the autumn theme…

Stephanie & Geoff | Caledonia, Minnesota wedding

Once again, the autumn sun was shining for a wedding. Stephanie & Geoff returned to their hometown of Caledonia, Minnesota to be married in front of their family & friends. The first time I met them was for their engagement portraits in which we took at Beaver Creek Valley State Park on another beautiful day in southeast Minnesota.

They have that ol’ high school sweetheart relationship and for some guests it was one of those “finally… it’s about time” moments. There was even a photo of the two of them, as a young couple, from the early school days displayed near their wedding cake at the reception. After high school, they proceeded to Iowa to attend the same college. Throughout all the years, their love grew for each other. It was at college where Geoff proposed. Which brings us to their wedding day.

Upon arriving, I started with Stephanie about to get her wedding dress on with her mother and bridesmaids there to help. Meanwhile, Geoff and the groomsmen & ushers were outside playing football.
