Jennifer & Brian engagement photographer – Winona, MN

Today, I met with Jennifer and Brian to shoot their engagement photos. They’re getting married in August of this year. I don’t have a lot of time at this very moment, but here’s three of the engagements that I shot today.

Just by these photos, you can tell that they made my job easy! Here is one good looking couple. For you single people out there, you can scratch these two off the list, as I know first hand that they are in love…

Umm… she’s beautiful…

They both braved pretty chilly wind, but I think they managed to keep each other cozy…

It was awesome to meet you both and look forward to being your wedding photographer in La Crosse WI in August, Jennifer & Brian!

Jolene & Paul engagement portrait photographer – Winona, MN

Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing engagement portraits of my June wedding clients, Jolene & Paul, here in Winona, MN. While the weather wasn’t as warm as it was supposed to be, it didn’t prevent us from getting some great portraits! These two are in LOVE and the smiles on their faces prove it.

**FYI – all of the following portraits are SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera), unless noted otherwise**

Here’s an enhanced black & white:

Being still pretty early in the Spring, there isn’t much for color in the trees. However, we found a nice evergreen and managed to get some nice color in the photo.

The next three photos are a perfect example of how these two were the whole time. Just looking at each other caused them both to smile so genuinely.

I mean, c’mon – look at these faces! You can see the happiness in their eyes…

We finished up near the bottom of the hillside along in Winona. All the leaves from Fall were still on the ground. The trees were still bare, but it made for a nice, private area where this last engagement photo was taken.

I look forward to working with you both in June as your wedding photographer, Jolene & Paul. Take care!!

I’ve added an engagement session from last year in La Crosse, WI at Riverside Park. You can find it at the link below:

I can’t wait to add wedding & portrait photos as I take them this year! Looking at the tens of thousands of photos over the last few years, I see I have my work cut out for me!!

Elizabeth & Justin engagement portrait photographer – La Crosse, WI

On October 3rd, I had the pleasure of having an engagement session with my clients, Elizabeth & Justin, who are getting married next year. Even though there were times that the mosquitoes seemed to swarm us all at the same time, we had a great time. These two were fun. Elizabeth was serenading Justin with some songs she sings at work and well, I guess you had to be there to see Justin’s expression as they described them. (Right, Justin!?!) It was good time. Nothing better than being with happy people. But enough of my rambling – let’s see some photos!

The fountain in the background of these photos has a special meaning for these two. If you’ve been to La Crosse, WI – you know its at Riverside Park. It’s were Justin proposed to Elizabeth!

As the sun set, I laid down in the grass to get this awesome photo of the two of them sealing the night with a kiss as the evening’s colors were remarkable.

Looking forward to the wedding day, Elizabeth and Justin!

Natalie & Micah engagement portrait photographer – Winona, MN

Last Sunday, earlier in the morning, I met with Natalie & Micah for their engagement session. We met here in Winona at the site of their wedding, Chapel of Saint Mary of the Angels in the morning. The overcast morning sky just barely broke some sunlight at certain periods of the day. The rain held off and we were able to have a nice relaxing session with just the three of us. (wouldn’t you know the rain came later that day for my daughter’s birthday party, but good times were had by all – btw, thanks for coming everybody!)

Of course, some photos from their engagement session!

This photo was pretty funny as Micah kept looking at Natalie instead of me and his reasoning was perfect – he’d rather be looking at her than at me! We laughed…

I could totally tell that these two are so happy together…

I don’t recommend anyone try this photo too many times, as its like looking through a magnifying glass at the sun… the end result is pretty cool though. (and 10 minutes of sun spots too)
